In Native American cultures, hawks are revered for their keen sense of sight and ability to fly at great heights. The peregrine falcon is the world's fastest diving bird. The record-setting falcon was once clocked diving at a speed of 186 miles (300 kilometers) an hour. The Peregrine falcon is relatively large for a falcon, with a wingspan of 41 inches (108 cm). Its body is stocky, with pointed wings and a short tail. The original pen & ink was created on a 16" x 20" and this copy is an 8 1/2" x 11" print of the original.
