-Washington Irving was known for his short stories like Rip Van Winkle & The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. He achieved international fame with the publication of The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent. in 1819.
This book is in vintage condition commensurate with its 60+ years of age.There is tonal yellowing & brittleness to the paper pages. The binding is in a bit of disrepair with first page (light pencil writing that indicates owners name and location in Alphararetta, Ga) being disengaged.
