Libbey Glass Toledo MCM 8oz Tumblers Gold Ribbon Rose Classic

Pattern: Rose Classic (Discontinued) Made in Toledo, OH, USA Vintage: 1951 Details: This is a gorgeous set of Mid Century tumblers by Libbey, in their much sought after Rose Classic” pattern. These are Blown Glass with large white roses and golden bows with flowing ribbon tails, and heavy weighted base, just beautiful! These are elegant looking glasses, perfect for bridal showers and weddings, but we could see these dressed down” for a ladies lunch or more casual celebration. This pattern was designed by Freda Diamond, she was an American industrial designer and very well known for her keen insight into American consumer tastes. In 1942, she was commissioned to co-design glassware for Libbey Glass alongside Virginia Hamill.
