Every single Dooney & Bourke has a small fabric tag that is soon in to the lining and the tag is red, white and blue and it will say Dooney and Bourke now if it says Dooney and Bourke USA, then that bag was made in

the US and the serial number which always begins with a letter will begin with an A or a B. If the tag says Dooney & Bourke INC, then the components/parts of the bag were produced here in the US and sent to another country to be assembled. I indicates Italy, JK & H I believe. Indicate China M indicates Mexico and there’s another country or two but I will just top of my head. Cannot remember what the countries are I think one is Philippines, and the other is turkey

. But if the tag is not there, or if it is glued on stapled on any other method, other than directly sewn in during manufacture, it’s a fake. The only exception is that sometimes the tag will be there and it will be sewn in, but it will be cut in half. This may indicate that the bag was sold at an outlet store, but even though the tag was cut/snipped You can still see that when the tag was complete, it was sewn in. I was requesting a picture of that tag.

If the serial number starts with...
A or B & D it was made in the USA and has the traditional red, white, and blue tag that reads Dooney & Bourke Made in the USA
The bags below will have a red, white, and blue fabric that that merely reads Dooney & Bourke. They will have a secondary tag saying Made in ###.
C made in Costa Rica.
H made in China.
I made in Italy.
J made in China.
K made in China.
L made in China.
M made in Mexico

@skatenurse59 thank you so much for taking the time to write this out. I appreciate it however I already knew all of this. The shape of the bag makes it very difficult for me to get a picture of the tag. The tag in this bag has a “J”. If you were trying to imply that this bag is a fake, I do not appreciate that. I purchased this bag directly from a Dooney and Bourke store. Not an outlet.
