Mimi Di Niscemi was an iconic Italian costume jewelry and belt designer. Her work was featured on the covers of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar in the 60's and 70's and can be found in museums and reference books. She was know for her unusual and bold designs. She designed for many iconic women including Jackie Kennedy and the Dutchess of Windsor. Vintage Mimi Di N belt buckle plus original strap. The interlocking buckle features a gold tone ornate byzantine design. Signed on back of each buckle, 6th and 7th photos. Together they measure 3.5" across. A collectable heirloom piece. Comes with original black velvet belt strap with a leather like lining. When worn will fit a 31" waist or smaller. Buckles are very good vintage condition.
