Vintage Double Sided Guan Yu Chinese Warrior Charm Pendant

Fun piece - a double sided pendant in distressed silver tone. The pendant is hollow & lightweight. Each side depicts a different version of the legendary Chinese warrior Guan Yu (160 - 220). He was a real person born 1,863 years ago - a famous general at the end of the Han dynasty - skilled in military affairs and revered for his loyalty, honor and righteousness - his Zhongshan. Each side of the pendant shows a slightly different version with his infamous long flowing beard, top knot, robes and holding his crescent sword. Guan Yu has been worshiped for generations in China and is honored as a god of war and wealth. To Confucians he is a “Sage”, to Taoists he is “Holy Ruler Diety Guan” and to Buddhists he’s the “Sangharama Bodhisattva”. Few have ever attained such popularity and renown - beloved by cops and criminals, emperors, merchants and commoners. This pendant is ~1.75” including bale.
