60's J.YOUNG FLORAL STILL LIFE OIL PAINTING

The term “still life” describes a work of art that shows inanimate objects from the natural or man-made world, such as fruit, flowers, dead game, and/or vessels like baskets or bowls. Looked at another way: still lifes depict things that are “still” and don't move. Still life is a genre that spans art history. I had gathered this piece from an estate sale, in the small town of Baraboo, Wisconsin. The original owner was an avid collector of fine pieces of artwork. The entire home of the estate sale, which was a large chalet made out of grand antique rubble stone, was covered in fine artwork.
