Alaïa RARE White Hook-and-Eye Boned Vintage Corset

Master Couturier, King of Cling: legendary fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa is known by many names, each referring to his unparalleled ability to mold fabric onto the female form in unexpected and radical ways. Alaïa achieved body control through different means, including stretch fabrics, seaming, and stays. He was fascinated by corsetry - recognized throughout his career as a master couturier, Alaia expressed the many nuances of woman’s beauty through the most refined degree of haute couture. Featured here is an exceedingly rare piece of fashion history: a one-of-a-kind Alaïa corset. Boned for structure with delicate perforated detail, this pure snowy white corset has a hook-and-eye clasp for the perfect fit. Trimmed with a fabric edging that stands up in a studded form -- from far away it looks like white studs but it's still a delicate soft fabric. I mean... amazing. I hope another collector will be able to enjoy this piece and take it to new levels of couture! Made in France. Size FR 38 Approx flatlay measurements: 24" length across when unhooked 12" length across when hooked 10" height from base to peak USED condition - unsure of the year this was made, though it's a delicate piece. There is one teeny spot of staining as shown in the gallery (my finger is pointing to it -- very light) and a portion of one panel of the corset has come unstitched and will need some seamstress attention.
