Gorgeous Vintage Designer genuine Green Variscite Utahlite Nugget Beaded NECKLACE with solid 14K Yellow Gold Clasp and Extension Rings (clasp is marked "14K FSJ XL" and acid tested). Variscite is considered to be one of the rarer and lesser-known collector's gemstones available today. Its appearance often caused it to be confused with turquoise, but Variscite's color tends to be greener rather than blue. Variscite is named after "Variscia", the historican name of the Bogtland district in Saxony, Germany. It was first discovered and described in 1837, when it was found in massive fine-grained aggregate form. The length of the Necklace is adjustable from 16.5" to 19.5". Variscite Nugget Beads vary in shape and size from about 14mm by 12mm to 23mm by 12mm. This unique Necklace weighs approximately 69.3 grams and is in great vintage pre-owned condition.
