Global Views Emma‘s Bird Glass Vase Green White Designed From Antique Quilt

A charming and unusual botanical album quilt made in New York or Maryland around 1860 supplied the inspiration for this sweet vase. Friends appliqued squares depicting geraniums, fuchsias, bleeding hearts, sunflowers, other fanciful flowers, and birds. They then pieced their squares together to make the quilt as a gift, possibly for a bride.
