Homco porcelain set of three Harvest Field Mice. Pre-owned vintage Theses are marked on the bottom with a foil sticker, Homco, made in Taiwan, and stamped 5601. No chips, cracks, or crazing, some discoloration on the bottom of unglazed porcelain and some light scratches from use and age. These cuties were massed produced for Homco and do have some manufacturers flaws. These flaws include the glaze, both in the light and dark colors small areas that look unglazed. Most noticeable on the nose of the mouse with a carrot. On the bottoms there is some pitting in the porcelain likely from air bubbles escaping during the manufacturing process. The last two photos show what looks like chips, one is an unglazed portion near the bottom, and the other is a curve up on the base that is smooth and appears to me like the porcelain was not a flat surface when made. These do rest fine on sitting on a flat surface. These cute figures could be used almost year round, to welcome spring, represent summer gardening, and of course in the fall when fresh vegetables are springing from the garden. Each stands approximately 3 1/2” tall and are approximately 1 3/4” wide. Color may very due to lighting and differences in viewing devices. All measurements are approximate.
