Melissa Joy Manning vintage smoky quartz dangle earrings

Groovy and uncommon... a rare pair of smoky grayish-brown (depending on the lighting) quartz and hammered sterling silver earrings that doesn't discriminate, but looks good on everyone. Truly! Some people can wear two bent paper clips and look fine (not me). These are actually quite flattering on the rest of us mortals. This vintage pair of Melissa Joy Manning ooak dangles was purchased from Pierre Lafond / Wendy Foster in Montecito-- back in the day when MJM jewelers used to assemble vintage charms and pendants to make unique pieces. Things are always earnest and imaginative in the beginning... The clever sterling hooks graduate from thin to thicker to prevent the earrings from slipping off. The trio strands of multi-faceted reflective quartz are perfectly proportioned, hanging from the hammered sterling silver double hoops, topped by a single quartz bead. These happy and versatile earrings measure 1 5/8" long-- will play well with a free spirit maxi floral dress, or a contemporary blue pinstripe button down . Excellent condition.
