poshkatt2 @jstylek Jill, you've said it, precisely, "straight", with an open back...was rather difficult to photograph the back, as it kept showing up as solid! I can measure tomorrow to let you know how much back is showing, but it's not all the way down. I'll find a tape measure and tag you! 🇺🇸🎉

I'm so sorry that it's taken me forever. It just hit me when I got the dress form yesterday that I never measured the back for you. Thank you for your patience. poshkatt2 @emaliucov Hi there! The length, measuring from the shoulder seam to the hemline is approximately 61-62"". My tape measure ends at 60" so I'm estimating the rest. It's definitely past 61" by a little bit. It's never been hemmed so that's always an option.

poshkatt2 @lisaelliss Good morning Lisa ☀️☕️☀️ So, in checking the fiber content this morning, I see that it has 4% Lycra, and it passes the stretch test with flying colors - tons of stretch!! In taking the measurements, I found it remarkable that it had so many inches available all the way down the dress, owing to the “stretch factor”!

poshkatt2 @lisaelliss My measurements are only an approximation, and I had difficulty in getting them right since the open back affected my accurate placement of the tape measure across the bust. That said, the bust and waist unstretched were approx. 16 or 17 across, with plenty of stretch for that number to change dramatically with ease. Equally malleable was the hip measurement that was maybe 19 or 20 across…?

poshkatt2 @lisaelliss But again, while it falls in a column, (just slightly A-line) it can have a more formfitting silhouette, uniquely suited to the shape of each wearer. The fabric is quite substantial and fully-lined, making it incredibly forgiving - it’s not in the least clingy, due to the quality hand and weight of the fabric.
