hink about what a person is putting in the Google search engine. Put the most important words first. Brand is the best thing to start out with. Did you know that None, Hand Crafted, Vintage are brands on Poshmark?? Think bigger than Poshmark. A team from Poshmark looks at your photos and titles to submit the listing to Google. The goal is to get your listing to show up in the first row of photos. You want your items found on Google and other search engines. They will NOT feature listings with emojis in titles. Their programming can not read the emojis, and skip past, never reading your description. May look cute, but you are not reaching all of your buyers. Guests buyers more likely to pay full price. People search for brands, style names if they know it, and often the sizes and colors There are now 80 characters in the titles Punctuation can be picked up by search engines as code, if you have the use, the hyphen is the best to choose from, then apostrophe. Avoid brackets, quotation marks and commas Emojis while may look cute on Posh, will keep your listing from being submitted to Google An article I read geared towards ebay listings said NWT or NEW at the beginning of the title would prevent them from submitting the listing to Google If you have New in your title, but do not have the NWT box checked, it will show up as Used on Google. With Promotoed Closets, the more your listings match what people are searching for, the more your listings will be promoted

akkadia @peatandrepeat Could you explain a little more about “punctuation being read as code”? Like the brand H&M for example, wouldn’t we need to use the & to accurately represent that in the title?

akkadia Oh… & probably isn’t considered punctuation. That makes more sense 😄
