I used to design a separate cover for each show until I realized the better-attended shows use the same pic, which becomes recognizable over time. So believe it or not, I always use a pic my 8-yr-old granddaughter snapped a pic of me on 4th of July and then I switch the background to match the Sure enough, my shows now have built a regular following, especially my Posh Party Lives!

@fashionseducate I can barely get 2. It’s so frustrating! And those 2 are MUTE the whole time. Posh needs to have a better marketing strategy so that you get more viewers to your show. I have great items but no viewers. I think there’s just a select few who have the live shows on lock!

@a_vintagesoul I had the same problem ! But now I have a steady stream of people joining. Make sure to make a flyer to let people know, even if it just for a quick pop up. Also, I found the time of day also depends, late night show are poppin! And mid day ⭐️ you have a great closet and very cute items ! @katies3bugs yes - just like a listing, when your do your live show add it to your tray and you can also run it once and a while.. I make a new Flyer once a month to change it up a bit- but have a Late night flyer that stays the same- make sure to let your audience know to give it a like so they can be notified when your Live ! 😊🌻

@menageatrice I completely agree with you on the importance of consistency. Although I try to switch things up a bit, my show images are usually quite similar. I also learned a difficult lesson about being more careful when cleaning up old listings. I accidentally deleted the tile for my shows, which had all the comments and likes on it, so I'm starting over! Ugh! 🤦🏼♀️

@fashionseducate me too, I'm lucky if i get 3 people in my shows. it's not worth the effort to do a show. plus, you can't compete with the $3 shows. if your items aren't $3, you can't sell anything. Can't make any money selling items for $3, when after @poshmark cut you only make 5 cents. I only do silent shows now and always use the same cover shot for my shows. With all the followers I have, I still only get 1-3 people in my show. It's so discouraging 😞

Then they’ll get the at notification and come to the show as well as her the notification when you run the listing with your flyer in your show

@wendyjw1975 you lost what you can’t afford to sell for 3$ typically ppl bid up. Anything you can’t run for 3-5$ list and ppl still come in and out of live shows
Find some items you can to bring more attention to everything that you sale . I list what I can’t afford to lose on . But I source a few things that I break even on too . BOTH have sold . A lot of buyers don’t attend shows they buy from the closet , sometimes even while you’re doing a show .

I tried a few silent streaming and made a few sales. Currently in the process of scheduling some live streaming events in the near future . From what I experienced watching other shows is to use the same cover picture get as many people to like it and pin before and during the show . All of the people who like it will get notified when you are live. Hope this helps.

@a_vintagesoul I do share my Flyer to likers 🌻 and for a while, I never received a like - after doing some shows consistently, I started to get likes. I always make sure to take a minute I’ll say “okay everyone ! I’m going have a quick break, go grab a drink whatever you need, while I run my flyers - and explain what they are ”and we pause - I run my flyer and explain them , letting everyone know to give it a like so they will be notified- it works well for me, definitely gains some love 💕

@wendyjw1975 don’t give up and try doing themed shows - you have great items in your closet for killer prices - getting your self out there and really showcasing each item and why you think it’s a great piece will engage your buyers and viewers, every time someone enters your show, especially when you have low viewers, greet them and stay on your vibe- those items will get purchased by Someone who loves them, and will appreciate the pricing to get that item.

My best advice to new Poshers is to go in to A LOT of shows. Comment on what they're showing, interact with the chat. Do this in a bunch of shows. You will see some of the same people in shows. Acknowledge those you see in other shows. (Hi @ceebeeisme nice to see you, etc.) Be friendly and outgoing. People will follow you from there. If the hostess allows, mention your upcoming show and tell the chat you'd love to see them there. Second, share out your closet items at least once a day.

Loving all the tips. I just started live shows and I'm loving having just a few people drop in and stay. I've had consistent buyers and also chosen a moderator from a buyer that's attended all my 4 shows so far and always look forward to coming. Sometimes I just have two people bidding on stuff but at every show I've made a sale. I'm grateful for the opportunity to host a live show. It's so user friendly.

@wendyjw1975 yes the chalenge with low start is real! I’m literally now giving away my premium brands at $10 after loosing a lot with $3 start witch I though it will help built my viewers. The minute I stopped the $3 start, everybody disappeared!😅. Also by having minimum viewers, the bid never went up, it’s as the BIN AT $3 🤦🏽♀️, not good for me because I have fine taste and I do pay some money sourcing unique items!

So PST, for me .. and late nights In general, I have viewers that stay up quite late and enjoy shopping late night hours, I try and pay attention to different times zones and make sure to have shows at all different times - morning , afternoon, and night .. I try and do a little fine tuning and I’m able to adjust my showtimes- I also make sure to add that I am PST - so my viewers will know ahead of time.

I have given up too! At the most, I would have 7 to 8 viewers, practically giving away as the starting bid my items, and still get nobody to bid or even comment. I wish Poshmark would create templates to use, especially with the flyers. I don’t have the time nor the patience for these.

I have a beautiful closet and made more $$$ before they launched live shows. some ppl have some not so appealing listings and make a killing here.

I mean do you have to use more than one device during a show? I was reading about hosting and it said "on a second device"...Is it possible to host a show using a cell phone or do I need a tablet or a laptop or both/all?? And think, I’m never going to see these people in real life so no need to be something I’m not. @sweethonesty3 I don’t have the stats or know about algorithms enough to have a guaranteed answer to this, but I feel like the more you put it out there, the more chances that someone will see it. Not everyone looks at every notification and so maybe that one time in the afternoon they see the item you’ve shared. My opinion.

@itsadawnthing hey Dawn 😊🌻 I appreciate you! I’m pretty sure your HAVE to use the two devices.Especially if your going to add anything after the show has started. From there you can switch devices if needed. I use two devices .. an old iPhone, and my new iPhone ( with Wi-Fi ) but I also have a laptop I use..the phones work perfectly fine .. sometimes even more convenient- totally preference ⭐️ hope this helps !🤩🌻

You have to go out into your there shows to get your name out there. Get involved with the community. Do you advertise on I. G. ? That helps too. Share put your closet everyday with your show listing as the top.

@salina_77 hi there. I have been doing live shows for a year now and learned a couple of things. You have to go and support in others shows to get your name out there. It’s advertising. Put your show listing at the top of your closet then share put your closet 2 times a day. Send out bulk messages to people right before a show. When you go to share shows put your show listing so you can get likes. That’s how to notify people when you’re live

@theperfectfind_ no you don't really have to do anything to prepare other than have your items out that you plan on showing. You can add your items straight from your closet so your photos are already there. If you're showing something not listed in your closet you can quick list but no need for pictures because you would be showing it live anyway.

When you put it in your tray it notifies people you’re live. But big thing is going to shows and meeting people and supporting others. I have been doing shows for a year and it takes time. @wendyjw1975 hi! may I suggest that you create a live show flyer? create a show flyer and then have people put your flyer into their shows. ask people to like and share out your flyer. and then, when you have a show, put that in your tray and everyone who has liked it will be notified. see the one at the top of my closet for an example if you like. let me know if you have any questions!

Hi, kids! I’m no pro. I’ve only done 2 lives. They were both successful and I sold everything. I realize that not keeping up with them has my nervousness back. 😩. Soooo I’m going to be consistent. I was just myself. I make jokes and engage but I keep it rolling. I smile a lot bse hey, it should be fun not a drag. I don’t talk about an item 5 mins before I roll it. I know to wait a bit until ppl come in at first. I say where I am and ask where others are. My biggest advice is consistency 🥰

@ladydar I've done plenty of live shows and have been a posher for 4yrs, so i know the drill. once $3 starts started, I lost all my viewers. That's why I started doing silent shows only. it's not worth the effort to set up for a show and have only 1 to 3 viewers come in. Most don't even stay. They pop in and within seconds, they're gone. During my lives I'd always welcome viewers in and thank them for coming. I get crickets, and they leave. I get better sales on my lives on another platform.

Script for the chat with questions & trivia, surveys, flyer tiles, $3 starts, consistent show picture, etc. But like others, only 2 people show up & never engage. I am going on 2 months of regular Friday Closet Clear-Outs and I am a little fed up. P.S. I do the silent shows not live.

@theperfectfind_ I just had my first pop up show last weekend and I had previously listed all items so when you schedule a show it allows you to select all items in your show and also allows you to quick list add’l items. I was anxious on all the tech involved but was easier than I expected, however I would also like more participants and sales!

@celestialwears yes there always seem to be glitches 🙄. whether it's my show or another posher. there are times I try to run the next item, the previous has ended, and I get a message saying I can't run the item when another is being featured. sometimes I have to go out and come back in just to get the button to show up to run the next item. you would think after all this time of having the show feature all the glitches would be ironed out.

When you do a live show, there is a icon on the bottom that looks like little squares- we call that the Tray, it’s where all your merchandise will be ran from as you add it in. From there you can tap on each listing you chose and “run” it - meaning auctioning it. @kmthees silent shows are a bit slower but still successful! I total know what you mean about share shows too! I’ve seen both very successful- do what works best for you, try new things , and communicate via chat or just greeting your viewers to keep them engaged- it takes time and we all have great tips and tricks to try! Watching others silent shows and lives , or share shows are a great way to meet new Poshers and interact 😊🌻

I have the same problem ! I have an incredible closet with a variety of prices and when I do my shows they are very frustrating because those who come are very quiet, there are no questions. Now I chose to do them in silence and it's the same thing, it's a coming and going of people. I no longer feel motivated like I did at the beginning. Good luck to everyone, I'll keep trying!

@brandysantee not everyone has the ability for one reason or another go full live. Silent Auctions are supposed to be a different avenue. I am personally in love with the set to sell feature. with only 1 hour flash sales I can set the prices and no one misses out on the sale opportunity.

You can always take a picture of whatever you plan on listing, just like the post above from Posh- it shows you tips how to create a great flyers for your show- just go to your Posh show tab, select create Posh show , add you picture , add your show details and select silent - add it to your tray and remember to run it here and there 🌻😊hope this helps !

@sweethonesty3 hey, thanks for asking. I noticed this feature on my phone during a silent auction. After selecting an item from my tray I am given the option to "auction item", or "set to sell". The "auction item" is standard auctioning. The "set to auction" lets you set the price for the duration of the show as a flash sale

And, I never stated anything about the ability to go fully live. I was addressing doing it in general because statistically (from my own sales and now with poshmark providing us with the stats after every show), and from polling the viewers, they prefer to see a host live and see the items. I didn’t make this up, I was merely sharing what I’ve learned like everyone else.

@jzim4 More experienced LIVE sellers may have better solutions but I would say continue to stick to your system the best you can. If you take something out of whatever packaging you have it stored in when you finish showing it put it back right then. Dont just lay it to the side cause then you will have a mess when your show is over.

@wendyjw1975 I completely agree about the $3 items. By the time I count the gas, the labor, and the price of the item I would be loosing so much money! I stopped doing shows because of this and the lack of show attendees. I have put so much time and effort into building my inventory and the way I launder, package and store it so my buyers gets quality assurance in their purchases. That’s my reputation. So now I’m marketing my inventory a different way to see how that works.

Posh live shows are for interaction with customers, building rapport, so make it an exciting experience. Be prepared to think outside the box with what you sell. BE Spontaneous with bundle deals! Make sure to educate those who do not know what trends are out there for sale, Be sure to have a variety of price values for customers too..and most of all just be yourself..

I have done 5 shows. 1 person came to one show told me to get a life. That was the only person that came. I find very depressing and extremely frustrating to do a live show. No one has given me any help or support. You guys have given me great ideas, but am just not sure if it’s gonna work. I think Posh really needs to do an update on the bulling that goes on. And they need to help us. Thanks for your ideas!

Also, DONT GIVE UP!! For the first 3 months I had 2-4 viewers. Keep being consistent! Be yourself! Spread joy and happiness and you will grow a following. Without @nicoleaustin818 I could have never continued! She gave me hope and was there for me every single day! Without her I would have quit posh shows! It only takes 1 person to help you, and I would help each of you in any way I could🙏

I did my very first live Posh show this past week and it wasn’t very successful. Turns out I didn’t really know what I was doing. I loaded the tray with 50 items but people wanted different sizes than what I had loaded. I’m not quite sure how to load something in the tray on the ‘fly’ 🤣🤣🧡🍊

I am desperate, I really need some help here and can't seem to find any at all. I was charged $970 from the seller Bagriculture for something that I did not buy, I was scrolling past their show and I guess when I scrolled up, I hit the bid button and got charged $970 for 2 bags that I have no idea what they are, I only know this because of my notifications, people were tagging me and I was unaware of what was going on. now I am being told there is nothing anyone can do about this.

I will say do not run your show listing constantly though during your live. Notify your likers when you go live, but not multiple times after that. I have unfollowed several shows because they constantly clutter my feed with their show notifications and I no longer attend those shows. Don’t use overkill to try and get viewers. Just have good offerings in your show and your followers will look for your shows and attend.

@makingcents2021 Hello there ! 🌻 you can send a “quick pop”up by going to your pop up show tab and doing just that- set up a quick show- kind of an unscheduled type of thing - on a whim 🌻 I do pop ups when I have some quick free time, and usually run just for about an hour- ( I also add “quick pop up “ to my show header - some people are only on for 30m ! Which ever way you’d like😊

@makingcents2021 🌻 I find that sharing my flyer is a great way to promote your upcoming show- share to your followers- inform your viewers and buyers of your upcoming show! - some sellers create a schedule, and list it as a visual 🌻

@makingcents2021 🌻 I like to share to followers and promote in Share shows ! Thats what a share show is all about - networking and supporting, you can share your items and share others, then they get peek of your closet ! Find what works and adjust to you and your audience- the ripple will continue 🌻😊 hope this helps !

@h4rl34 I completely agree. I send bundle notifications - which are aggravating enough to ppl who aren't interested in live shopping. 🙃 But I run my flyers at the beginning of my show as part of my introduction. And then at the end of my shows so my new shoppers have the time to like them before I depart.

Keep doing lives and don’t give up! Be consistent everyone..I am on lives once a week, have been successful with sales because i show my appreciation for everyone who joins my live, buyers or not.I feel out each customer, ask questions, have an abundance of inventory on hand to sell, and just drop deals like crazy 😜 My cover photo is always dynamic but its my vibe and it works for me.Lets keep motivated, its a new year with many blessings to be had🤗

Maybe check out how some of those sellers are interacting or doing something particular, that is keeping people drawn in, I go to repeat sellers because plainly the way they interact , I like them, they’re cool , funny ,calm, upbeat - one Plays their music blaring 😆 on a Saturday. The CHAT is blaring 🔥 ! 100s of viewers- and sales people just bidding! Same for a favorite,slow, late show- awesome prices tons of viewers.. share shows too - all sorts..😊

@dricunha Hello! 🌻😊 I think they’re fun to try, but super enjoy selling through my closet too- both are fun, I usually shop a closet before I Join a live, that’s when I see the Flyer lol 😆 and it’s fun to see my seller, I’m more comfortable asking a question about an item .. or seeing the item in real-time.. more likely to purchase.. sometimes I recommend coming to my Live too see the item too !

@aurorav85 Oh my dear..I have done shows..share shows..silent shows..tray place show.. and shows..just regular ol shows! I keep my closet fresh and multi-sized I get my sales organically and keep my buyers returning with special offers and fun surprises. It’s not to say I’ll never do shows in the future, but I am always playing around with numbers and selling odds so right now I am just appeasing my hard work and my buyer’s pocketbooks on a regular non competitive basis.

@kwanmel Go to your shoppers then at the bottom go to shoppers again. Select all and scroll down, hit action then add comment to bundle. Type in your message. Have to leave on your screen or it won’t send. *If you unclick one person it won’t continue to add everyone as your scroll down, that’s why you can’t exclude someone that asks you too
