Richard Bryd grew up wanting to be an explorer. When he was twelve, he had his first adventure - trip around the world all by himself. Later he took many many more trips. He learned to fly a plane and went places no one had flown to before. He flew over the North Pole and across the Atlantic Ocean. Then he went to Antarctica and saw the South Pole.
