There does seem to be a crack in the bottom portion of the stone, but the way it is wired in, it will never come apart. Wire has some discoloring. Cable is black cable with a screw in clasp. Pre-owned, this necklace is in great condition except what was mentioned about the stone. 18" long cable. Pendant is 2.25" high by 1.25" wide. Pendant comes off simply if you would like to use the cable for other pendants. N562
