This Extraordinary Silk Kimono is called Habutae and is reserved for only the most formal occasions, such as weddings and tea ceremonies. My husband’s great aunt, to whom this belonged, was a lady in the true sense of the word whose grace both awed and inspired me. She was a calligraphy artist as well as a sensei of ikebana and tea ceremony, so she must have worn it for the latter. It has crests across the top of front & back, and beautiful painted traditional scenery along the hem, in gold metallic and other colors complimentary to the black silk. This kimono definitely has some weight to it, as it has a full, pure white silk (with cream panels) sewn-in
lining that snaps at the collar to keep it folded down. It measures 62” long from shoulder to hem, and 24.5” across the back, arm opening to arm opening. This would make an absolutely stunning wall hanging in the right room. Pristine Condition.

@alphamar3 Hello, I’m sorry I do not. However I do have several Obi that I will be listing in addition to the ones I now have for sale. I will tag you on the one that has black and gold in it like this kimono. Thank you for your interest!
