Tapa Cloth, or Bark Cloth-Authentic Antique Polynesian Brown and Tan 6’2”x12’3”

-Authentic Polynesian Tapa Cloth, or Bark Cloth, Made from Tree Bark -I don’t know the exact year of this tapa cloth. My WW1-generation grandfather brought these back with him. -A similar tapa cloth was recently displayed in a prominent art museum’s Henri Matisse exhibit. That one dates to “about 1948.” Following his trip to Tahiti, Matisse built up a significant collection of tapa, made from the inner bark of various native trees, in the 1930s and 1940s. -I have listed the best of my grandfather’s tapa cloths.
