VINTAGE WWll US ARMY ELMER HEAD PLANTER ROBINSON RANSBOTTOM POTTERY OHIO 1940

This really fun WWll US Army Elmer head vase has history of being manufactured by the Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company out of Ohio. Made in 1940, he’s handcrafted & painted by artisans, so each soldier has its own distinctive look, & no two pieces look alike! Measuring 6-1/2”x 4-1/2”x5-1/2”, this patriotic fella is a bisque chalk-like pottery & resembles today what we would call a chia pet, as his hair is sculpted & raked. In EVC, he was probably painted on an assembly line, so the artists roughly sculpted, slapped on the paint & moved along, hence forth the more rustic look, please view all pics for condition. Consistent with age, he does need a bath after serving so many years, but I’ll leave that to you! I do have a second listed that looks different, check my closet to collect them both!
