Czech Original Bohemia Zwiebelmuster Blue Onion pattern COMPOTE Bowl 6”x 2”. Since 1956 has changed from Meissen on plate to Cesky Porcelain Co. And they make 660 different shapes of porcelain. It is guaranteed by the Czech Republic as a Czech product. The “onion” description comes from 1885 factory purchase who made Rococo style porcelain, called “onion” pattern. Not until 1929 did Meissen mark appear when owned by Arthur Bloch. A very successful pattern and collection pieces from these different dates and marks can have high prices. See my photos, this bowl does not have Meissen so it is after 1956 and still being collected. No chips, cracks or crazing.
