divasbeautique @makemeadeal With the right measurement, it should fit right. These materials are not ordinary materials like cotton or denim. They are compression garments, that's what slims the midsection. It's supposed to be tight, that's what gives you that hourglass shape. It shouldn't be uncomfortable either. For a beginner, you should start with your actual waist measurement. Once you break into your shaper, then you can size down. That's how it works.

divasbeautique @makemeadeal based on your measurement, for this particular shaper, you should start with a 3X according to the sizing chart. Don't expect to just slip into a shaping garment, it's not Fruit of the Loom or Denim, it's a compression garment. You have to force it to close, you can start with the first row of hooks, as you slim down, you can adjust to the second row.

divasbeautique @makemeadeal with your new knowledge of how these garments work, you should try wearing the one you just bought. It’s only two inches less than your waistline. Get someone to help you hook it. At first, it’ll be a bit uncomfortable, but it gets better. Spandex stretches. Waist training is a journey!
