Very Rare Fenton Lavender Purple Milk Glass Lidded Compote

Behold this gem! The Fenton Lavender Purple Satin Glass Lily Pad Compote Pedestal Lidded Dish is a rare find. In my extensive years of collecting, I initially acquired these two pieces separately - the lid and its base - for my personal collection. I am now considering offering it. This piece is crafted from lavender neodymium glass, a material Fenton produced for only about a year in the late 1970s. Its unique property is the ability to change color under different lighting conditions, although it is not UV reactive due to the absence of radioactive elements. Photographs display its color variations in natural light, at sunset, and under UV light. The dish features an exquisite lily pad design embossed on both the lid and the base, radiating beauty in sunlight and indoor lighting. It boasts a delicate shade of soft powdered lavender, occasionally casting a pinkish hue under varying lights. Fenton's reputation for creating intricate pieces with profound detail is exemplified in this item. The lid proudly bears the central Fenton logo on the inside. The condition is excellent for a vintage piece, with only minor scuff marks on the bottom of the base and lid, and no chips. It can be cleaned with a rubbing alcohol swab.
