💖 Vintage JC Penney Towncraft Black Wool Overcoat

Handsome vintage JC Penny thick black wool overcoat with warm lining and faux fur collar. Truly a jewel of a coat in amazingly great condition for being MORE than 50 years old. (I knew the previous owner - my dad ☺️ - so I honestly know how old it is and how well it was cared for.) This heavy coat is perfect for COLD weather (it weighs 5 pounds). The wool is thick, and the sewn-in lining is thick quilted material on the top and faux fur from the waist to the bottom hem. I can’t find a fabric tag, but I’m positive it’s wool. The lining is synthetic, probably nylon and polyester. Three leather-wrapped buttons go up the front, and a smaller matching plastic non-functional button is on each cuff. The only noticeable sign of wear I can find is the inside lining of the front pockets, which is a soft warm white flannel material. No holes, no tears, but there’s some wear and discoloration that fits the age. One pocket has… an ink stain, perhaps (?) But it’s light, and you’ll never know it’s there. See the photos. Size is 44L, and I’ve listed some measurements below. I assume a 44L in 1970 is the same as 44L now days, but because of the thickness, I would err on the side of a SMALL 44L. Let me know if you need add’l measurements. I want this to fit you!
