damiangray Having worked with Mr Yeoward ( RIP) on his trunk show here in Southampton, he explained to me how this piece was also known as a "Rinser". Partially filled with water & placed on the bar while serving, you would dip & rinse your wine glass in between servings, like when switching from red to white etc.. Very rare & special. Good luck!
