My vet Ken and vet assistant Brit’s been hoping to neuter my dog but I’m so against it and was relieved they decided to take a few months off for hurricane Harvey or Oscar, lol! From the end of the clasp to the end of the beads is app.10.5" The extender brings it to 13" You don't want it to be tight.I think it may be too small for a shitzu but you should put a string around your dog's neck and measure the string. One woman had a chihuahua/Maltese mix but I think a shitzu's neck is bigger.Isn't it?

thebears333 @cindylue249 No don't get this. I just looked up collar sizes and have posted what it says It would be tight on your dog.(see photo)I hope this helps. I would love to sell it but I don't think it will fit your dog

thebears333 @cindylue249 stretched out all the way is 13.5" but with a collar you need to be able to put two fingers between the dog's neck and the collar.This I believe would be tight.If you had an extender maybe you could get some more inches but as is in my opinion it is too tight.I love animals and I wouldn't want you to be disappointed.
