Vintage Lisette Designed by Al Sterling babydoll peignoir shorty robe. Diaphanous white nylon chiffon negligee with light blue embroidered flowers. Lace trim yoke and hem. Short puffy sleeves with elastic frilled cuffs. 3 button closure with tie at neck. Single layer chiffon body with double layer yoke and sleeves. Tag size Medium. The fabric has many gathers and is meant to be billowy. Without pulling any of the folds out, the garment measures approximately: Pit to pit 19.5" Shoulder to hem 32.5" Excellent condition. Minimal wear with just some light age discoloration on the threads only. The sewing thread is yellowed on part of the left sleeve hem and the underside of the collar on left and right (there is also one broken stitch on each side there). The blue embroidery thread on the left shoulder is lighter in color with a hint of yellow. This is just the threads, the chiffon and lace are uniformly white. This babydoll reads as white when hanging in a single layer, but is more off-white when folded up. I see a handful of tiny puckers in the chiffon that are not holes, no broken or pulled fibers. No "runs". Elastic is still perfectly stretchy. Vintage brides, this is your something old, something blue!
