VYG EUC A striking design is found in this fabulous style 1940's art pottery pitcher from Niloak in a dusty cornflower blue. It has a geometric, four sided shape with a beautiful cutout handle. The pattern is highly raised with overlapping circular florals and designs. The piece was made in Benton, Arkansas where the prized Kaolin fine clay is found (Niloak is Kaolin spelled backwards). The company produced art pottery pieces from 1909-1946. It is a glazed piece and has the incised Niloak mark on the bottom. It measures 7" in height, 6.5" wide from spout to handle and a depth of approx 5". This is in excellent condition and I'm astonished at the styling; it looks as though it would be found today at Ballards, Neiman Marcus, Frontgate or any high end retailer (a beautiful piece ahead of its time)! Thanks for looking!
