1950s Vintage Christian Dior Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Brooch and Dress Clip

Gorgeous 1950s Christian Dior combined brooch and scarf or dress clip in a darkened silver metal with early prong-set Aurora Borealis rhinestones. The brooch is marked France just below the trombone clasp, and with a French notation for patent pending. Otherwise unsigned. Another of this same model is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s jewelry collection (its accession number is 1974.383.72). I’ve had mine professionally authenticated, and separately consulted on by an appraiser (Dr. Lori Verderame).
