Alpaca Blanket from Equador

The colors of this blanket are gorgeous! It is an Alpaca blend but you wouldn’t want it any other way. Alpaca is fragile and it should always be blended with a little something stronger in order for it to be durable. It is used only by me, it sat flung over a chair on display almost all of the time. I have to admit that I own quite a bit of alpaca. As a fiber artist who spins alpaca into yarn (I mix it with a little heartier wool) I love how it is light yet very warm. It is a generous 60” x 80”. It was hard to capture the true colors, there is a predominance of deep purple in the mix of blues and greens.
