There are a lot of Brown Betty Tea pots out there made by one company or another, this one has the potter etched on the bottom ALB "Alcock, Lindley and Bloore" one letter atop another before they started adding Made in England to the bottom, that's under the lid (captured in picture) These are handmade from the red clay (captured in picture) of Staffordshire where these pieces have been made since the 1700's and dipped in a brown paint like mixture that hides tea stains. Everything has it's purpose the globe provides enough fluid for 4 cops made before the other pieces so the grid could be punched in the globe ( tried to capture in a picture) keeping the tea leaves in the pot then the spout pouring without spilling to the handle designed so you wouldn't burn your knuckles while pouring. Still being made today but now they are mass produced. Thanks for looking.
