Antique Copper Aftaba Water Tea Pitcher Ewer, Middle Eastern Persian 19th C

Antique Copper Aftaba Water Tea Pitcher Ewer, Middle Eastern Persian 19th C. Approximately 15" tall, 12" wide (tip of spout to handle), and 4.5" deep. This handmade pitcher has hand engravings all over the item, including of small animals on the body. There are embellishments including a pointed lid cap, trumpeted base, and long, arching neck. I polished the copper so you can see it's blemishes, but I find the piece looks at its best with a dark patina. This ewer is from the mid-late 18th century and has acquired imperfections including dents, oxidization, and worn copper. Beautiful on display or in use as a functional water pitcher for watering plants. When researching this item, many terms came up, which may relate to this piece.
