Antique EAPG Childrens Glass Punch Bowl Set with 6 Cups

Children's glass dishes evolved in the 1900's by a recycling process. Glass manufacturers used their surplus glass by manufacturing dishes for children. They were used as grocery store premiums and also sold to the Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Ward catalog houses. This pressed glass punch bowl set was made by US Glass and dates to 1907. The pattern is 'Whirligig"; a combination of many of the typical motifs found on early American pressed glass. Sawtooth edge on the punch bowl replicating the Brilliant glass that was popular at the time. The bowl sits on an inverted pedestal and measures 4 1/2 high and also in diameter. The 6 cups are 1" high and 1 1/2" in diameter.
