BILL BLASS Vintage Goldenrod Silk Jacquard Tapestry Skirt Suit SIZE M 6-8

This stunning vintage cocktail suit from Bill Blass is made in a lavish goldenrod-colored silk jacquard fabric with a floral and foliate design in darker shades of gold and pale taupe. The jacket has a flattering raised collar that hugs the neck, raglan sleeves with shoulder pads, and a three-button closure hidden behind a button placket. The pencil skirt has no waistband and a hidden back zipper. Both pieces are lined in a similar golden shade of silk charmeuse. We can date the suit to no later than 2004, nut more likely the late 1990s, based in the UNITE union labels that are present in both pieces. There are no fabric tags present, but the shell fabric looks and feels like silk or possibly a silk blend, and the linings are definitely silk. The suit is labeled size 6, and the measurements confirm that it is a modern size 6, perhaps even larger, so we are also recommending it for size 8.
