Gorgeous marigold carnival glass pitcher from Jeanette Glass Company circa 1940 in the Cosmos pattern with white flowers and faint iridescence. DIMENSIONS: 9" H x 5.5" D WEIGHT: 3lbs CONDITION: Excellent, vintage, free of chips and cracks ABOUT JEANETTE BOTTLE WORKS...Jeannette Bottle Works began operation in the late 1880s in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. In 1898 the company became Jeannette Glass Company. From 1928-1938, Jeannette Glass was one of the leading Depression glass manufacturers. Jeannette Glass Company hit a low point in production during World War II but bounced back in the mid-1940s when the war ended. They ceased production and closed the factory in 1983.
