FRENCH COMPANY Rare CARPET BAG Speedy-Like Bag - RARE

Rare! The company that produced many Louis Vuitton bags in the 80s and early 90s for LV's American market, The French Company aka The French Luggage Company, also created their own line of bags for their customer base. Here is one of those rare vintage collectors items in EXCELLENT used condition. Even though vintage, there are only few signs of wear (handles etc, see pics). YES, the exterior is carpet (!) The sort of creativity they weren't allow to show for Louis Vuitton was something they channeled into their own line, and a bag made of carpet material is an example of this. The size and shape is very much like the LV Speedy bags they created back then. There are no major holes or rips or tears or odors on the inside or outside. Due to the material used, this bag holds up incredibly well over decades. The leather on the handles and reinforcements shows some wear. The easy to clean interior lining with French Company logo is also in great condition but does have a large stain toward the opening and a few small pen marks and stains on the bottom. A really wonderful collectors item for the vintage bags fan, especially those following Louis Vuitton or American artisan history. Measurements taken by hand, expect variances.
