French Royal Tapisserie Opera Purse

This is a beautiful purse/handbag made by Royal Tapisserie in France. The tapestry is from the Opera design line and features beautiful women in their gowns of olive, red and silver heading to the opera. "Soiree d'Opera" (evening at the opera) are the words of which are woven throughout. The background design also features some classical imagery (a building, column and lyre) as well as the words "Theatre" and "Paris" repeated. The handles are made of black leather. TThe interior is lined in a cranberry red. There is a side pocket and zippered pocket for convenience. The bottom of the bag has four brass feet. Royal Tapisserie was founded in 1920. Passed down from generation to generation, the grandson of the founder who initiated the creation of the ROYAL TAPISSERIE brand.
