Rare lovely plates! Ceramicist Francesca Kaye has created these gorgeous floral dessert or decorative plates featuring beautiful roses and pansies finished with a delightful textured touch reminiscent of a love letter stamped with a wax seal. I own a set as well and originally used them as serving plates for desserts and then I decided I wanted to be able to admire them whenever I went into the kitchen so I have placed them in picture stands on the counter so I can look at them. Whenever someone sees them for the first time the plates become the topic of conversation. These beautiful plates are handpainted and glazed stoneware. The plate dimensions are approximately 8.75”long x 8.5”wide x .75”deep. These plates look beautiful as serving ware, displayed on a plate stand or rack and possibly hung, although they are a bit substantial in weight.
