HOLLY HARP Vintage Tiered Black & Floral Silk Chiffon Dress SIZE Petite Small

This lovely black silk dress, with lavender, red and green tulips reminiscent of antique botanical prints, is from notable American designer Holly Harp. It has a weighted V neckline in front with five wide ruffles draped horizontally around the circumference of the dress from shoulders to hem. It has long sheer sleeves with a single self-covered button at each wrist, shoulder pads, and a back zipper for closure. No fabric label is present, but the floral tiers look and feel like silk chiffon. The black "underdress" to which the chiffon tiers are attached also looks and feels like silk with a little something like elastane added for stretchiness. I've seen both the 1970s and 1980s decades attributed to similar Holly Harp dresses when researching them, but I believe this particular dress is from the early 1980s. It appears to be a Petite Small size. MEASUREMENTS - Shoulder width is 14" between shoulder seams and 18" to outer edges of shoulder pads. - Chest is 32" - Waist is about 28” - Hips measure about 40” - Length is about 33” down center back. CONDITION Excellent condition with no apparent flaws.
