Vintage Jacket I. Magnin legendary dept. store - San Francisco - 1876-1994. This vintage Jacket is a beautiful elegant piece of "HERSTORY" dating back 1940's -1960's as indicated by Ladies Garment Workers Union Label. Fabric content unknown, this was before content tags were require. I. Magnin Departments stores were the ultimate mid century shopping destination. Jacket features wide collar. Single breasted, beautiful brooch like buttons down the front. Fully lined interior with soft lining that has the feel of silk or very fine polyester. Exterior fabric feels like wool, with brown on brown brocade like designs. Long sleeves. No pockets. No Size tag or fabric content tag are present. Pre-dates FTC regulations. Size measurements: Sizing is estimated at a size Large as seen by chart in the photo section of this listing. Across chest seam to seam under the arms 21" equals a 42" around the chest measurement. Total length as measured from neck seam is 22" - most standard tops for size large are 24" , this one is shorter than a standard top. Sleeve measurement from top of shoulder seam is 20" - indicates a 3/4 sleeve or bracelet cuff. Most modern size large long sleeve jackets are 24" for this measurement. Across the shoulders area measurement - seam to seam at the arms = 15.5" Beautiful and elegant vintage jacket pairs nicely with a pair of jeans with booties for the fall or wear with a skirt for a more polished dress up look.
