I felt as though I was doing really well the first couple days and then after that it doesn’t seem like as many people are interested in my closet and aren’t even giving offers. funkypineapple @ak4252 .OK- since you only have 40 some listings I'm gonna give you suggestions for most of them. The first one that caught my eye is the Tahari Jumpsuits. The absolute main key to selling on Poshmark is your cover photo is priority number one. You need to use the 3rd down. A real person in the outfit looks better. Also, and this is the second most important thing... ALWAYS PROVIDE MEASUREMENTS.

funkypineapple @ak4252 ...I am guilty of not wanting to measure but people LOVE it when they can see if it will fit them from measurements and they don't have to ask for measurements. It is a pain to do it, I hate it, but if you just get in the habit of measuring each item. Include a photo of the size. include a photo of the material or at least state it in your description. ( I started out talking about the Tahari but these steps need to be done on each item)

ak4252 @funkypineapple thanks so much for getting back to me. I will work on adding measurements ASAP. For the jumpsuit, from my end...my cover photo does have someone wearing it. I got it off tahari’s website cuz I didn’t look too cute in the jumper. Maybe you are seeing something other than what I’m seeing? The third pic down is actually the same pic that is used in the cover photo but with filter added. Again, I appreciate your suggestions and hopefully the more I sell the more I will love PM

funkypineapple @ak4252 The more information you can provide the better it is and the quicker it will sell and people who like your closet will know from here on out that they can depend on your closet to be detailed and they will be repeat customers. So, take better photo's. If you can not get good lighting then maybe try taking the photos outside. I hope I am not overwhelming you. Don't go and try to fix everything tonight, it will be fine just pace yourself so you don't get fed up and quit.

funkypineapple @ak4252 ...You have awesome items to sell. Little things like the necklaces, and that gorgeous sequin skirt ( I LOVE ) Go to the dollar general and buy a few sheets of white tag board. That way your backgrounds will all be the same and it will look neat and clean rather than putting them on a bedspread or floor and it's a cheap background!!

funkypineapple @ak4252 ..Oh my goodness!! Looks so much better already. Don't forget to follow and share closets of anyone following you. Also, do not forget to share your own closet. Some people don't know this. I share my closet 3 or 4 x a day. Doing all of this keeps your listings moving so people will see. Ok one more fact is that if you change your photo's description just a tiny bit everyday, it pushes that photo back up to the top!! Cool huh? You are doing great!! Mandy

I spent a good couple hours last night adding measurements to my “main attractions.” I figured that the limited and express and probly places like franscescas dont sell well. Fortunately I don’t have many of those clothes. I again thank you for your advice and time!!!

I suppose people want options. I do have another question for you: what do you use to ship your items? I’m running out of boxes. I went to usps and they wanted to charge me for boxes. There’s gotta be a better way than to buy boxes since poshers are paying so dang much for shipping.

funkypineapple @ak4252 you post office should be spanked for not explaining to you which are free and how to get free. If you go to USPS.com you can order as many free boxes as you want delivered to you. Make sure all they say on the box is “priority mail”. Do not get boxes marked, “ “Flat Rate”. You can choose what sizes you want and need. Also.......,,

funkypineapple @ak4252 You can also use plastic mailers. Most companies use these instead of boxes. I never have used them - but last week I did get 100 off of eBay to start using. They are cheap and work fine. Let me get to my laptop & I’ll send u the link. I think it was 100 for $10.00 ( it was cheap ). Hang on a sec....

ak4252 @ayerp11 hi! I report every one as replica. Unfortunately most have now blocked me so I can’t comment. Sometimes I get irritated and go to peoples personal page and notify them (if they commented) that they are inquiring about a scam. It’s fusterating that Poshmark doesn’t do more to fix this. It’s ruining the experience for the buyers (both that there’s all these fakes when searching a clothing brand but also cuz once they don’t get their purse they won’t shop PM again).

ak4252 @xtcangl the scammers have hundreds of listings and profiles. I spend probly an hour a day reporting and trying to notify potential buyers. They will eventually block me but they need to do it with each profile… and then in a day or so posh will remove the listings…and they create new ones. It’s overwhelming to see all of the scams and disturbing that potential buyers will have a bad experience on posh

ak4252 @pitbull1246 of course! These listings selling high end designer bags for super cheap are scams. You will recieve an empty box and the scammer hopes you accidentally hit the accept button or don’t open a case on Poshmark in 3 days so they then get their money. Ways you can tell are by profiles that recently joined posh (you can tell in their about me info), are selling nothing else (some sell a bunch of all super cheap designer bags)…

ak4252 @pitbull1246 their bags are listed under a different brand (the bag you commented on is tagged as Zara), the title of the item has the designer brand name but it’s broken up by emojis or spaces), some even say “not a scam” in the info.

ak4252 @pitbull1246 Poshmark will shut their profile down within a day or so which is why they just make new ones and have tons of profiles. You will see multiple profiles selling the same purse for cheap with the same pictures

ak4252 @pitbull1246 NEVER email them, they are also scammers and those checks will never clear. It is also against Poshmark policy to do transactions off of Poshmark. You can click on the flag next to their comment to report it and it will then remove. Although now no one to report it to after you got the check cuz you technically went against Poshmark’s policy as well. But DO NOT cash the check and do not send the item. And never email them again.

ak4252 @pitbull1246 I would make sure you know the definition of boutique before listing some of the watches as boutique. I would recommend listing the actual name of the watch with specifics (measurements, etc) and what the watch is made of (sterling silver, gold, etc). Would look at other Movado watches for sale and see prices that others have listed. Would also take pic of back of watch for specs
