NWT Skirt Suit By Ann Taylor LOFT, Military Styling, Dark Navy, 00P

This is hands down the highest quality suit I have ever owned, AND I NEVER WORE IT! I own suits that cost more than $2,000 from Armani and Chanel. None compare to this . . . SERIOUSLY. It is from the very early era of LOFT (c. 2001), when it was either inside or attached to an Ann Taylor store and featured the same high quality at the same price, but was meant to appeal to a more youthful demographic. I have been coveting this suit for nearly 25 years. It's been tucked away in a garment bag. The cropped blazer is military inspired, with a slight pemplum back, elongated cuffs and rounded button accents throughout. The slim pencil skirt has a wide waistband, side zip and elongated kick pleat in the back with the same button accents. Both pieces are fully lined. Color is dark European navy. Fabric is HEAVY and very substantial, ideal for late Fall through early Spring. It is tightly woven and smooth, almost twill-like, but there is no diagonal pattern. Retail in 2001 was $129 for the blazer and $59 for the skirt (total $188), which is equivalent to $321 today! NOTE: This item as well as all other items in my Poshmark closet come from a smoke free, pet free, scent free, perfume free and meticulously clean home.
