Please see all of our photos - on both shoes on the underside of the tongue we noticed a bit of fraying of the elastic. This in no way impacts the fit of the shoes - I tried them on and they fit like a glove! It might be seen if worn with shorts - wouldn't be noticeable at all with pants.
