Rare Antique Vintage 30’s-40’s Kirwan-Neilson Makers Brown Floral Hand Tooled Leather Belt. Marked size 30. Brass buckle. Has G-S initials tooled into back. Amazing antique condition with some minor cracking & wear from age. Please see all photos for details. Marked Kirwan-Neilson Makers, Lusk, Wyo. Measurements: Length: First hole to prong 27.25”, Last hole to prong 30.25” Total length with buckle 34.25” Belt Width: 1”-1.25” Buckle 1.5”L x 1.25”W About the makers: “John William "Jack" Kirwan was born in Pennsylvania in 1885. He moved out west to Wyoming with his Missouri bride Anna around 1915. He served in World War 1 in the Army and returned to Douglas Wyoming where he enjoyed spending time making saddles at his shop. In the late 1930's his wife passed away and he moved to the nearby town of Lusk Wyoming where he partnered with T. C. Nielson in his shoe shop, and together they built a reputation for finely crafted saddles under the name of Kirwan & Nielson. Kirwan died at age 54 of influenza in 1944."
