Rare Mottahedeh Zebra & Carriage Metal Wall Hanging

This vintage 1940's rare unique metal wall art piece that depicts Lord Walter Rothschild's belief that he could train a zebra to pull a carriage. This piece is very interesting. This Mottahedeh design wall hanging was made in Italy. In very good condition- there is some paint peeled off in some spots- see photos, I think this makes this piece look more rustic. This wall art is made of thick metal and the wheels can turn back and forth. The carriage can be used as a wall pocket for flowers etc. it is raised outward from the wall 1-1/2 inches, and total depth is 2 inches. Size: 42-1/2 inches long x 18 inches high assembled. This item will be shipped disassembled for easier packaging. The zebra and the wheels can be detached by 2 nuts and 1 screw. The weight of this item is 6-1/2 lbs.
