The tag sewn inside the cover states ©Steiff 2017. This is the year of manufacture, and is not an error. Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences. Steiff teddy bears use high-quality yarn called mohair, made from the hair of the Angora goat. The exterior and pen holders are made with this mohair to give the cover the characteristic beautiful sheen and luxurious softness that you’ll want to cuddle.
