The front and handles are made of pleather and in excellent shape. The back is made of canvass. It has a small spot near the bottom, and I have most of it cleaned. You will be carrying this side towards you anyway, so nobody will notice. The inside is spacious and roomy! Pretty ocean colored turquoise fabric lines the inside, which has a pocket on one side and a nice zip compartment on the other.
