Vintage 1972 Christian Dior X Bulova 17 Jewel Swiss Made Petite Dress Watch

Vintage 1972 Christian Dior X Bulova 17 Jewel Swiss made petite dress watch. The Christian Dior Collection was launched by Bulova in 1968, and this design followed a few years later. Watch features an almost space age design with its white gold electroplated bezel and blue dial with silver mirror finish trim. The dial is marked, "Bulova, Dior" and "Swiss" at the bottom edge. The case back is marked, "Gold Electroplated Bezel, Stainless Steel Back, Bulova, 867343, N2." The watch case measures approx. 19mm across excluding the crown, and the total length of the watch with original thin blue leather strap is approx. 8" (maximum wrist size of approx. 6 1/2"). Strap has the original "CD" buckle. Watch is in good vintage condition with some imperfections in the plastic crystal (no cracks), and some scuffs on the dial and case. The leather strap is in surprisingly good condition considering it is over 50 years old. I did find the buckle hard to maneuver, but I guess that is the price to pay for a cool design element! Watch runs and keeps time when wound. However, as with any mechanical watch, it may require service from a watchmaker at some point to continue to do so.
