Vintage Y2K VALERIE STEVENS 100% Silk Teal Shift Lined Midi Dress Size 8 Shell: 100% Silk Lining: 100% Acetate Excellent used condition - missing the optional extra hook latch close at the top of the zipper. The color is a cool, light icy blue-toned teal. Valerie Stevens was a store brand of May Department Stores until the conglomerate was absorbed into Macy's in 2005 and is still carried there today. This "valerie dresses" is a vintage label from the line from at least the early 2000s but likely also mid to late 90s. Shoulder pads - tatted in for easy removal Short cap sleeves Concealed back zipper V neck Sheath Midi No stretch Date: 1997-2004, although the presence of the vestigial shoulder pads make me lean towards late 90s. Valerie wasn't produced much before then.
