This vintage couture dress by Genny is impeccably made, featuring fine tailoring, stitching detail, classic design and beautiful material. The style is a double breasted blaze dress. It's a snap closure (double inside for fit) and each snap is wrapped in fabric. The collar and cuffs are the real statement but you can't miss the large clear "gem" buttons that add interest. Genny was founded in 1962 by the entrepreneur Arnaldo Girombelli and started out as a line of handmade skirts and blouses, which were sold only in his boutique in Italy. The brand gained recognition among the elite of Italy and in 1973 a young Gianni Versace took the position as Genny’s head designer. After Versace left, the house of Genny fostered many other talented designers like Claude Montana, Dolce and Gabbana and Christian Lacroix.
